It can be embarrassing, but the more we own up to our own racism, even if we didn’t know we were doing it, the more we can normalize the process of acknowledgement, apology, atonement that is so critical to making the next jump in human consciousness – we haven’t had a major jump since the the 60s and 70s, which great backlash and regression in the 80s and at the decades since.
